SHORT MAT SEASON - October to March

Roll-up Monday 6pm and Wednesday 6pm

Short Mat bowls is the indoor form of bowling played in St Martins Clubhouse from October to March.  As the name implies, the game is played over a much shorter length than the outdoor game. It is played on carpet which is between 40-45ft (12.2m – 13.7m) and 6ft (1.8m) wide. The bowls used are the same as for the outdoor game and the skills required also the same – line and length.

There are a full season of games:- 'roll ups' twice a week, friendly matches against local clubs and matches in the Herefordshire Short Mat Bowling Association league.
