WINTER SHORT MAT LEAGUE UPDATE

The winter short mat league is entering the closing stages and is looking good for both of our teams. As at February 18th with four games each left to play, the ‘Falcons’ and the ‘Hawks’ are tied at the top on 112 points. The Falcons, however, are top by virtue of a rather better shot difference. The main danger remains from Ross ‘B’. They have six games to play and are on 97 points. One of the remaining games has the ‘Falcons’ playing Ross ‘B’. With ten points available for each game the destination of the championship is far from settled.  All to play for!

CLUB OPENING DAY APRIL 2019

The club opened for the new season on Sunday 14 April.  The first Wood, as is tradition, was bowled by the club President Carey Artus.  It was a rather chilly, overcast, but thankfully dry afternoon and a good number of members played a few ends of bowls to get the season underway. Weekly Monday Club nights commence from 15 April. The flag was raised by Irene Healey
